Product Overview

As one of the components in the plant cell wall, β-mannan is a common anti-nutritional factor in feedstuff. The anti-nutrition of β-mannan is mainly reflected in the following aspects:

1. Interact with water molecules to form a network structure, thus increasing the viscosity of intestinal solution.
2. Affect water holding capacity of the intestinal contents, thereby influencing the absorption of glucose and water.
3. Influence the secretion of insulin and insulin growth factor (IGF-I).
4. Increase the viscosity of chyme, causing the encapsulation of nutrients and the dysfunction of digestive system. Numerous undigested nutrients enter the hindgut to have anaerobic fermentation, producing a large number of clostridium. During the reproduction process of such microorganisms, a large amount of toxins are produced, which can easily cause digestive diseases.
5. The surface of β-mannan carries a negative charge, which has a strong adsorption ability to metal ions with a positive charge, so it is easy to cause the lack and loss of micro-elements.
6. Cause feed-induced immune response and immune stress as well as change the energy distribution of animal body, thus reducing the utilization rate of animal feed.

Product Functions

Habio β-mannanase specifically degrades β-mannan to produce mannan oligosaccharides. The main functions of this enzyme are described as follows:

• Reduce the viscosity of digestive tract chyme.
• Improve the intestinal micro-flora and maintain the integrity of intestinal function and structure.
• Alleviate the secretion disorder of insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1) caused by mannan.
